Cora Greenhill

Cora Greenhill grew up in rural Ulster and has lived in The Peak District for nearly 30 years. She studied literature at Warwick University, most memorably with tutor Germaine Greer. She's had a long and varied teaching career, the high point of which was at The Universtiy of Nigeria just after the Biafran War. She moved to Sheffield and met her partner whom she married eleven years later, on a shared journey exploring feminism, the Goddess, Crete, 5Rhythm dancework, African music and poetry. Their son and grand daughter live in New Jersey. Cora's poetry has appeared in The North, Orbis, Tears in the Fence, Artemis poetry, The Interpreter’s House, Magma and anthologies including The Penguin ‘The Poetry of Sex’, and 'The Sheffield Anthology' (Smith Doorstop), among others. Cora self-published two collections and her third, The Point of Waking, came out with Oversteps Books in 2013. Far From Kind is her fourth collection. She hosts Writers in The Bath, a poetry venue in Sheffield.
